- description | This eight-channel audio-visual media work refers to the six days of Creation with the help of six symbolic, miniature movements. Overall, the concept is deliberately minimalist, while the relations between the images and the sounds are complex and multifaceted. The unique, abstract, static and moving harmonic figures – which are made based on mathematical rules – are very meaningful in themselves, but the forms and patterns and the structure of lines also serve as a graphic sheet music for the realization of the music. Cursors move on the lines as if on tracks, and their positions keep influencing the musical and acoustic factors, which are sounded by the audio-synthesis developed for the figures. Vision and sound reinforce each other through their interaction, and merge to communicate the message of the piece. The short movements have three voices, and the electronic parts often merge to give a sense of the inner changes of the sound. In this rare, graphic-controlled synthesis of spatial sound, the graphics provide a map: it is as if we were in the centre of the image, viewing the auditorium from above. The electroacoustic music surrounds the audience: with the help of the graphics, sounds come in front of us and behind us, move closer and further away, left and right, round and round in space.
